Automate code generation on build server

Is it possible to automate the code generation outside of Visual Studio?  I want to set up a build server and just have the .datacontact, .servicecontract and .host files checked in, along with the relevant project files and custom code.  On the build server I want to run the code generation and then build my solution as normal.

I'm afraid that is not possible with the current version of WSSF. You can only generate code from VS IDE using the menu options from the models.

Is this something that is being considered for a future release?

What is the recommended approach - to check in all of the generated code and if a change is required to get the developer to check it out, run the code generation and check it back in again?
