Hi,

I have made some modifcations to WSSF and I wanted to change the name of the MSI file generated by the setup project to something more appropriate for my company.  Currently, the name of the MSI file is "ServiceFactoryV3.msi".  I can't seem to find any references within the WiX files to ServiceFactoryV3.  Anyone know where I can change this file name?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

You may find a reference to the msi name file here:

[source folder]\Service Factory Guidance Package\Setup\settings.ini

There you will fiond these two entries where you can update with your own data:

Msi=ServiceFactoryV3.msi

ProductName=Web Service Software Factory: Modeling Edition

Hi,

I have actually already tried modifying the settings.ini file but it seems to have no effect on the name of the MSI.  After I build the solution in release mode, I check the Setup\bin\release folder and the settings.ini is updated with my changes but the actual name of the MSI is still "ServiceFactoryV3.msi".  Is there something I need to do get the project to read the updated .ini file or is there somewhere else I need to update?

Thanks,

Matt
