Hi

I am very interested in using Windows Workflow ( to be the BPM / Business Logic layer ) with the Service Factory but am unsure of a few things:
How do I integrate the two?
If I am to use the RecieveActivity of the WF, does that mean this activity would make the Implementation layer redundant?

It would be great also if someone could provide a code snippet for the hosting of the workflow, and any other tips / pointers / links etc would also be greatly appreciated.

Hi, you can use the WSSF to model your service and then you can reference the generated Service Contract from a normal workflow as explained in this blog: http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/blogs/bursteg/archive/2007/04/20/WF-and-WCF-Integration-in-_2200_Orcas_2200_-_2D00_-Part-1-_2D00_-Workflow-Enabled-Services.aspx

Another approach would be to use the more specific project type Sequential Workflow Service Library as explained here: http://blogs.msdn.com/kaevans/archive/2007/08/10/host-workflow-with-receiveactivity-or-sendactivity-in-iis.aspx

In any case, since the ReceiveActivity is a composite acitivty, all the implementation should be done using child activities. You'll find code snippets and samples in the external links provided.

Thanks
