IIS Hosting and Binding/Transport dependency

Our service has two end points using: wsHttpBinding and netTcpBinding. Reason we need two is that all .NET clients will use netTcpBinding (for better performance) and other clients will use wsHttp for interoperability.

We want to host both end points using IIS Hosting (so that we can avoid writing custom host code). From documentation it looks like ADDRESS="" property takes always takes the address of .SVC file as prefix. If so looks like address can only be HTTP://

So that means IIS hosting can not support TCP bindings? Looks like I am asking very basic question. But I want confirmation that IIS hosting is only meant for bindings that support HTTP transport NOT TCP.

But seeing the flexibility in WCF, I am finding it hard to believe this. Can some expert throw few pointers around this.

Thanks for your help.

For tcp binding or other non http binding you may use IIS7 and WAS.
