Is Wrapped

Hi All,

I have a question about the setting iswrapped within a messagecontract. When i define multiple message parts and validate my service contract it will display an error with the message that the message should be wrapped. When i set is Wrapped to true everything works fine. When i generate a proxy of my service i see that there is a wrapper created around my message, but i don't see the reason for this. The wrapper is a class where my messagecontract is a property of that class. Why is this "is wrapped" needed? Thanks in advance

Regards,

Dennis

The IsWrapped property basically controls how the body element is serialized in a SOAP message. For further details read Using Message Contracts in particular the section "Controlling Whether the SOAP Body Parts Are Wrapped".
