WCF and SOAP Getting started

Sep 5, 2007 at 9:25 AM
Hi,

I have created a WCF Echo service using (simple) basicHttpBinding. Now there exists a webservice but it is not SOAP compliant, I cannot create a web reference and consume the service as a standard SOAP consumer (.NET, Javascript, Php, Whatever).

How should I continue in order to get my WCF service to be a WSI compliant SOAP service aswell? Please point me in the right direction, I cannot seem to find any examples anywhere on how to do this. I have tried diffferent approaches with some luck like removing WCF declarations and putting in XmlSerialization declarations but in the end it doesnt work the correct way. Just the fact that I have to remove the WCF declarations tells me that this must be the wrong way...

Thanks.

Hi,

This was so simple I didnt even bother to try it. I was sure it would not work. But it really seems to work 100% like I want it to

You should put this in default WCF guidance package?
