starting with webservices software factory

Jun 5, 2009 at 3:20 PM

Hi I am newbie in the web service software factory space. I have VS2008 installed on my machine. I have downloaded the web services software factory modelling edition. Is that enough to start creating web services and WCF or do i need to download something more. I also need a some guidance to start of. If some one can provide me with links where to start of it would be great.

Hi,

Welcome to the WSSF and here are a couple of suggestions:

1) Cross check the installation documentation with requirements (VS2008, SDK, GAX)

2) You can get a quick head start by downloading and playing with the 15 minutes walkthrough and later on with the Hands on labs and a video here.

I totally recommend this book :

I read through it and was up and running in a couple of days.

Good reading! You can also find in chapters 7 & 8 details about how to design and use WSSF in this context.
