I have couple of times wondering (as I am playing around between the drops) if there is a way to verify quickly or easily which drop version I have registered or using under the VS experimental HIVE??

I'm not sure I quite understand the question. The drop you have installed in the experimental hive is the last one you built and registered. You can tell which version of the source you have by looking for the version.txt file in the root of the source tree. I don't think there's any easy way to see which version you have registered in the hive.

Does this make sense? Is this what you were trying to do?

Ade,

Yep, I know that there is a version.txt in the root of the source tree.

Is there a way to verify which drop I am using in VS experimental hive once it has been installed?

Or

Do I have to just reset the VS experimental hive and reinstall the guidance package again for targeted drop when I am not sure of the version I have in VS experimental hive?

Hope this clears my questions?

Alexander,

I think you just have to reset the hive and reinstall the GP if you're not sure which version you have installed.

Sorry,
